For a logo, mark, symbol or logotype to represent a company well, it is fundamental that the task of conceptualizing, designing and creating such logo is given its due process. There needs to be real immersion on the part of the consultant with the client. Understanding the company's culture, personality, purpose and identity. Its people,  what it stands for, in order to truly represent the core of the company and its soul. This is the key to the likelyhood of success.

A logo identifies a company. It is supposed to represent it well.However, in today's market we see that most logos fail to convey the company's true identity. They seem spiritless, soulless and ill inspired. They are often the result of a quick process and solution to a far more complex endeavor which deserves  the most minute scrutiny and detail attention. It is an enterprise many in management positions today under estimate. its significance and importance in how it, either negatively or positively, impacts the perception of a company.

The ease of the internet and the advent of many online markets pushing "logo designs" as though we were buying a pair of shoes on e-bay compound this problem.
